Frequently asked questions

What is Putting Care at the Center 2020: Virtual?

Putting Care at the Center 2020: Virtual is a virtual adaptation of our annual in-person conference on complex care in America. It will be two half-days of content on October 27 and 28, including a keynote address from Dr. Uché Blackstock, the unveiling of new core competencies for frontline complex care providers, plenary sessions and discussions, and a virtual Beehive where presenters and attendees can interact in breakout chat rooms.

Who should attend Putting Care at the Center 2020: Virtual?

Putting Care at the Center is the annual opportunity for the complex care field to come together and connect around improving care for people with complex health and social needs — particularly during these challenging times. If you are providing or working to improve care for people who repeatedly cycle through multiple healthcare, social service, and other systems without lasting improvements to their health or well-being, this conference is for you. Complex care is about working at the individual and systemic levels to coordinate better care for individuals while reshaping ecosystems of services and healthcare.

We welcome individuals with lived experience of complex needs; providers including social workers, nurses, physicians, pharmacists, and more; leaders and staff from community-based organizations; researchers; administrators; policymakers; and anyone else looking to work across sectors to improve care for those who need it most. If this is your first Putting Care at the Center experience, welcome! We hope that a virtual format will make this event more accessible to both established and new participants.

Can I share my work at the virtual conference?

Yes! We are looking for presenters for our virtual Beehive. Selected presenters will share their work in a short video presentation that attendees can watch and then discuss with presenters in a virtual room during the Beehive time block. Applications are due September 4 — learn more and apply here.

Companies and other organizations looking to elevate their brand, promote their products, and grow their networks can participate as Virtual Forum Sponsors. Please contact Matt Kalamar, Associate Director for Grants and Development, at mkalamar@camdenhealth.org for more information.

How much does it cost to attend?

One silver lining of this year’s event going virtual is that we can offer registration at a fraction of our usual in-person conference price. Early bird prices start at $79 to attend and participate in the two-day event. For $129, attendees will be able to access recordings of all sessions after the event. Early bird registration closes September 15. Starting September 16, registration for the two days of programming will be $99, and $149 for a premium pass with access to the event recordings.

Student, community health worker/peer, and navigator discounts, as well as free registration for complex care consumers and family caregivers are also available! See our registration information page for more.

Does Putting Care at the Center 2020: Virtual offer continuing education units (CEUs) for clinicians and other professionals?

This year's conference does not offer any CEUs.
