Complex care essentials: Principles, partnerships, and practice

This pre-conference session introduces the core principles of complex care while creating space for dialogue, application, and peer learning. Participants will explore key concepts, partnerships, and strategies that shape the field and build a shared foundation for the rest of the conference. Ideal for those new to complex care or anyone looking to refresh their understanding of the field’s core ideas and language.

From intent to impact: Creating a roadmap to engage people with lived experience in your work

This interactive workshop helps participants strengthen how their organizations partner with people with lived experience (PWLE) in designing, delivering, and evaluating health and social care programs. Participants will assess their current approach and develop a practical roadmap for building more meaningful and sustainable engagement. Designed for PWLE, community engagement professionals, program leaders, researchers, and anyone working to center lived experience in their work.

Healthcare social work values: Leading in a time of change

This pre-conference session highlights the critical role of healthcare social workers in navigating system transformation and advancing equitable care. Through evidence-based presentations and dialogue, participants will explore value-driven leadership, adaptive practice, and strategies for sustaining the profession in a changing healthcare landscape. Intended for healthcare social workers across settings and populations.

Cost: $100 when bundled with registration

Leading and sustaining hubs in a changing environment

This session brings together hub and backbone leaders navigating the realities of leading networks in a shifting policy, funding, and partnership landscape. Participants will share challenges, exchange strategies, and work through practical approaches to strengthening and sustaining hub infrastructure. Designed for community care hub leaders, backbone organizations, and others responsible for coordinating cross-sector networks.

Organizing for Impact: Building statewide MLP coalitions for coordination, policy, and scale

As the medical-legal partnership (MLP) field grows, many practitioners are forming statewide coalitions to coordinate partners, build shared infrastructure, and advance policy change. In this interactive session, participants will explore emerging coalition models and develop a practical 90-day plan for launching or strengthening a statewide MLP coalition. Best suited for MLP leaders, legal and healthcare partners, and teams exploring or coordinating statewide collaboration.

The new healthcare leader: Navigating power, policy, and the cost of inaction

In today’s shifting political and policy landscape, healthcare leaders must develop new skills to protect their missions and advance health equity. This session introduces frameworks for understanding power, navigating risk, and building cross-sector alliances that strengthen both organizational strategy and community impact. Designed for healthcare, public health, and community leaders interested in strengthening their policy and leadership capacity.

Cost: $200 when bundling with registration

To keep Putting Care at the Center as inclusive as possible, we have established a scholarship fund to cover registration, travel, and lodging for individuals who cannot afford them. Most scholarship support goes to individuals with lived experience of complex health and social needs.  

The average cost to support one person through the scholarship fund is $1,000. If you wish to do so, you may add support for the scholarship fund, in $25 increments, to the cost of your registration. Select your desired number of increments by clicking the “+” sign, and the total amount will be added to your registration payment.  

Name, job title, and organization will automatically be displayed in the conference app, unless you opt out below. Attendees will have the ability to select additional information (address, phone number, email, social media, etc.) to share with other attendees after the mobile app is downloaded. In addition, the contact information selected will only be shared with other attendees after making a Meeting Hub connection or accepting a connection request from another attendee on the mobile app.
