Jamila is a partner on Norton Rose Fulbright's Employment and Labor team in Houston. She serves as a trusted advisor for clients in a wide variety of industries, including professional services, healthcare, consumer markets, energy, and finance. Jamila is a nationally recognized expert in employment law, and she was certified by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization for Labor and Employment Law in 2019. Jamila’s practice covers all areas of employment law, including extensive experience in discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and wage and hour issues. She provides strategic advice to employers on best practices and conducts sensitive internal investigations. Jamila also leads trial teams in federal and state courts and before administrative bodies. Jamila received her BA in English from Rice University and her JD (with honors) from the University of Texas School of Law. She also holds a SHRM Professional HR Development Certificate from Rice University.
