For more than 40 years, Michael Silhol has guided healthcare providers through an increasingly complex regulatory environment, allowing them to achieve their operational goals. Michael works with healthcare providers in transactional, regulatory, and compliance matters. He represents hospitals, telemedicine companies, diagnostic imaging centers, individual physicians and physician groups, home health agencies, ambulatory surgical centers, hospitalist providers, and medical device manufacturers, among others. Michael has served as the general counsel of several healthcare organizations, including Radiologix, Inc., and Parkland Health and Hospital System. He has also worked for HCA, Inc., Triad Hospitals, and John Muir Health. Today, Michael has his own health law firm, with offices in Dallas and Santa Fe. He currently serves on the Board of the State Bar of New Mexico Health Law Section and is a past Board member of the American Health Law Association (AHLA). Michael is Board Certified in Health Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. He has written numerous articles and given countless presentations on health care legal matters. In recognition of his career-long achievements, contributions and tenure with AHLA, Michael was named a “Fellow” by the AHLA in 2017. Michael has consistently been recognized for his expertise in legal health care matters. His work has earned him the designation of “Best Lawyer” by D Magazine and a “Texas Super Lawyer” by Thomson Reuters. He is also listed in “The Best Lawyers in America®” for his work in health law.
