The Housing and Urban Development-Veterans Affairs Supportive Housing (HUD-VASH) program serves a broad range of Veterans with an array of supportive service needs. The integration of HUD-VASH into the larger VA healthcare system allows a unique opportunity to connect Veterans to services utilizing Housing First principles and a holistic approach to care.

Molly Allen is a Senior Housing Program Specialist in the Housing Choice Voucher Program Office at the US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). She is also HUD’s National Lead for the HUD- VA Supportive Housing (HUD-VASH) program. Molly has been at HUD since 2009 and has been working on the HUD-VASH program since 2016.

Meghan C. Deal, LICSW, ACSW is the National Director of VA’s HUD-VASH Program Office, prior to which she worked at VA Puget Sound Health Care System. Ms. Deal received her MSW from University of Washington and has been working with homeless and other underserved populations for more than 20 years.
