Kristin Yavorsky currently serves as the Director of the Office of Community Housing at the Virginia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services (DBHDS) where she oversees policy and programs to reduce homelessness and increase affordable housing opportunities for individuals with behavioral health and/or developmental disorders. This office now administers more than $73 million in state funds for supportive housing. Kristin has nearly thirty years’ experience in the development and management of services in supportive housing in both Virginia and New York City. She holds a Master’s degree in Social Work Administration, Planning, and Policy Practice from Virginia Commonwealth University and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Political Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
