She earned her Master of Public Health at the University of California, Berkeley, where she was the recipient of the Dean’s Health Equity and Leadership Award. Her work is deeply informed by the pursuit of social justice.

Dr. Kalani Spain is a Native Hawaiian, Family Psychologist who is passionate about serving his community as the Director of Clinical Operations at HOPE Services, and expanding behavioral health services on Hawaii Island. Dr. Spain has a small private practice in Hilo, Hawaii and specializes in treating patients suffering from trauma.
