Sean Read’s career at Friendship Place has taken him from Case Manager (2011) to VP-Regional Programs. He oversees divisions serving singles, families, veterans, youth, and workforce development across Metro DC. He specializes in leadership development, program design, and trauma-informed practices. Sean holds a BA-Psychology (Houghton University) and MS-Human Development (Virginia Tech).

Presenter

Jonathan Whitted grew his career at Friendship Place from Case Manager (2012) to Division Director of Veteran Services. He’s held various leadership roles at Friendship Place and active in the pursuit of ending veteran homelessness in the DC Region. Jonathan holds a BS in Psychology/Human Development from Virginia Tech.

Presenter

Nichele Carver has 26 years in homeless services: from outreach to leading Virginia’s homeless services system. She was a founding member of the NAEH’s racial equity network. Nichele serves as USICH Senior Regional Advisor to NY/NJ and New England. She holds degrees from Virginia State and Virginia Commonwealth University.
