Session Overview
Hoarding poses significant risks to safety and housing security. To preserve housing and wellness in a hoarding situation, a collaborative approach across services and specialties is required to move from crisis to calm. Lisa Neuman is Director of Supportive Housing at SHIP. SHIP is a nonprofit housing & health service provider in Canada. SHIPs Supportive Housing model incorporates a multi-layered approach to holistic care. Teams are comprised of various specialties working collaboratively to meet the unique needs of individuals enabling them to become and remain housed.

Jennifer Brock is a Hoarding Specialist with SHIP who offers consultation and support to individuals, teams, and communities to reduce the risks associated with hoarding. She has developed trainings and resources for communities to address hoarding through a compassionate approach and is an advocate for the creation of community coalitions.
