Metropolitan Government of Nashville/Davidson County’s Office of Homeless Services Executive Director. April coordinates efforts of the Nashville-Davidson Coc, provides leadership in collaboration with the Mayor, Metro Council, MDHA, and the Homelessness Planning Council. Vital responsibilities: HMIS system, Coordinated Entry Lead, along with strategic coordination of partnering agencies.

Her work included adopting a Housing First approach that prioritizes the chronically homeless and working with the CoC to create a plan for decommissioning encampments with input from providers and consumers
