Details

As the work to gain support for and implement Housing First across Europe continues, strategic partnerships are critical to ensure safe and stable housing for people who are most impacted by homelessness and housing instability, especially for Black, Indigenous, and other people of color. Throughout the world, philanthropy has been an active partner in supporting Housing First models, piloting innovative solutions to ending homelessness, and intersectional collaboration to integrate housing, health, employment, and other important life factors. During this session, participants will learn more about philanthropy's role in strategic partnerships with governments and community organizations to bolster the impact of Housing First in European countries. We’ll also discuss how anti-Housing First efforts, like we see in the United States, could materialize in the EU and how philanthropy can take a proactive approach in ensuring Housing First remains a priority. This session will also feature lessons learned from the United States and how European funders best support community partners to advance Housing First as a proven-solution to homelessness.
